This facility really needs a significant adjustment! Patients are housed unsafely and the staff, back in 2011, were extremely unprofessional and lacked any sympathy for the patients. The psych doctor ordered medication for patients that simply masked their mental illness without ANY rehabilitation. The doctor is inattentive to his patients. I will NEVER, EVER use this hell hole. They confine patients without their consent and are very misleading. Its very similar and paralles jail. They will make you think they're going to help you through your mental crisis, only to damage you more. Anyone facing a mental illness is better off going without medical care or seek a better facility. If I could rate them negative stars, I would!!

MOST of the staff is mentally ill in some form. I said MOST.. not all- but still meaning MORE then half.. complete fire and hire would have to be done for this crazy BY:them would ever go wiling. I swear it always felt like they where killing me before ever rehabilitating me happened. But never happened. This hospital has the most scared yet retarded staff I ever experienced. Not feeling safe in a hospital is a pathetic review. God bless us all!!
my experience was horrible. children at the hospital where picking on me and a nurse didn't do anything. Another incident was when they gave me more medicine then they should have. I couldn't remember my first night there at all. please I don't suggest any parent to take there child there, go to Mercy they have so much better care than dePaul.
