Do not use this hospital. For anything. Most of the staff is friendly, but the social worker and most of the doctors are more worried about money than the health and safety of you or your loved ones. If an ambulance tries to take you to DePaul, adamantly refuse and ask for ANY other hospital.

My experience was horrible. The staff never checked on me. Had to call the nurse station for everything. Pain meds was suppose to be given every 6 hours that didn’t happen. Had to stay overnight they never gave me a gown and when I asked for one I was ignored b cause I never got it had to sleep in my clothes. The food was really good that about it. Had to stay in the ER from 10:00am-8:30pm before a got a room. Never want to go their again. I was there because we had an accident on st Charles rock rd where we were hit from the back and that’s the hospital I ended up at. The doctor was pretty good but the staff was a different storyline

Called 911 on Saturday august 3 I have symptoms and was transported to st. Vincent's. It's now Monday. When I arrived i had my orthopedic knee brace that I have to wear everyday. Today after I was given an antipsychotic the nurse proceeded to badger me and said I could keep the brace on if I slept in the hallway. Can't sleep In the room much less the major hallway ON THE FLOOR!! I was told my brace is a safety issue for other patients. Not one person in there knew I had it on until the nurse yelled it out in the middle of the room. "they are trying to help me she said." What a joke. It was like a good cop bad cop game 85% of the nurses are cool the rest the them I will be contacting appropriate staff

HORRIBLE HOSPITAL!!!! Overall the hospital is dirty, bathrooms reek of urine. Cafeteria workers DO NOT wear hair nets. Wait time was over 5 hours before bp,temp, weight was taken. Nurses DID NOT wear gloves while getting blood sugar levels and blood work. Bathrooms have BLACK mold and the vents are covered with thick amounts of dust, bathroom mirror and sink covered in vomit. Security is a joke, custodians are nonexistent and staff is EXTREMELY RUDE!!! AVOID THIS HOSPITAL...YOU WILL LEAVE SICKER THAN WHEN YOU ARRIVED.

My son was brought in by ambulance for a severe trauma. The staff at DePaul saved his life. We were treated with love, compassion and dignity. Bless you!
